Being on a Committee

"Being a committee member is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to be part of a team, organise fantastic fundraising events and network."

Be part of an invaluable team and contribute your skills and contacts to put on a night to remember for hundreds of corporate guests, as well as raise money for a great charity that helps over 50,000 disadvantaged children every year.

Become a Committee Member and Run Vital KidsOut Fundraising Events

KidsOut is committed to bringing fun and happiness into the lives of disadvantaged children nationwide and hosts a range of corporate events that help us do just that. On top of helping vulnerable children have a reason to hope, these events provide fantastic opportunity for networking, team building, mental stimulation and simple good fun.

Dating back to 2001, our trademark Question of Sport fundraising evenings began when KidsOut patron and snooker champion John Parrott was a team captain on the television show. Our events have since expanded across the country into an annual KidsOut Ball, Golf Classics, a Question of Trivia and even a theatre gala, with funds all going directly to helping disadvantaged children in the areas they were raised.

Committee members can become involved in prioritising where the money goes, and there are lots of other ways to get involved, for example organising or attending children's Fun Days or festive parties.

We focus on events in major cities across the UK, with each region having its own committee which organise and run events. Many committees also support in other ways, for example by helping to organise Fun Days or parties, and the Christmas toy appeal ‘The Giving Tree’.

Committees are volunteers who generously give up their free time to assist in the organisation of corporate events. They reach out to their business and personal contacts to:

Sell tables at the event

Gain prizes to auction off (for free!)

Network with contacts and see if they can support KidsOut in other ways

I first attended a KidsOut Question of Sport quiz in 2009 and was instantly hooked not only on a very enjoyable event but more importantly the great work the charity does and how they touch the lives of so many disadvantaged children. I am delighted to be involved and able to help. Every child deserves the ability to be a child; the charity not only puts the fun back into their lives but also to have positive experiences to support them becoming future members of our society and workforce.

KidsOut is a truly incredible charity. They support children going through some of the toughest times imaginable and never discriminate or judge who is more in need but simply strive to support every child they possibly can. It only takes seeing the smile on some of the children’s faces at the National Rotary KidsOut Day or to hear how grateful a mother and child were to receive a Toy Box to understand what KidsOut represent.

I was introduced to KidsOut when I too was a child, by my late father who was one of the two founders. I am now a father of five children who all enjoy a healthy and safe upbringing and environment, and I struggle with the fact that there are still so many children who do not enjoy such things. Being a part of KidsOut ensures I can have a positive effect on redressing the balance.

I am proud and delighted to support KidsOut, a charity that has such a strong connection to my family. I’ve been hugely impressed with how much of every donation to KidsOut actually gets put to good use and how even modest donations can make a real difference. It’s sometimes easy to forget that a toy box to a child who has nothing, is everything; and a day out for a child who has never had a day out, can be the trip of a lifetime. The ability to make such a difference is what makes KidsOut so very special.
