Through our life-changing work, KidsOut gives disadvantaged children positive experiences and supports them becoming valued members of society and the future workforce.
KidsOut works to achieve its mission by providing five key services to children experiencing all manner of disadvantage: Fun Days out for disadvantaged groups, Toy Boxes for child victims of domestic violence when relocated from refuge, the National Rotary KidsOut Day, provided annually to groups from special schools (in conjunction with Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland), World Stories, to help children communicate in the classroom and learn about different cultures, and Phyzzpod sensory rooms.
The significant income raised through our gala dinners and corporate quiz events is the lifeblood of the charity. We hold 10 major events each year across the UK. YOU could join a committee and help make our events even more successful!
KidsOut is committed to bringing fun and happiness into the lives of disadvantaged children nationwide and hosts a range of corporate events that help us do just that. On top of raising vital funds for disadvantaged children, these events provide fantastic opportunities for networking, team building, mental stimulation and are simply good fun.
Each event is organised by a committee – a team of volunteers who generously give up their free time to assist in the organisation of their region’s annual event. Committee members utilise their business and personal contacts to:
- Sell tables at the event
- Secure prizes for the main auction (money-can’t-buy), silent auction and raffle
- Promote supporting KidsOut in other ways
All the money raised in each region is spent supporting disadvantaged groups in that region.
Dating back to 2001, our trademark KidsOut Question of Sport fundraising evenings began when KidsOut patron and snooker champion John Parrott was a team captain on the television show. Our events have since expanded across the UK into an annual KidsOut London Ball, Golf Classics, a Question of Trivia and even a theatre gala, with funds all going directly to helping disadvantaged children in the areas they were raised.
Providing the perfect mix of entertainment, networking opportunities, delicious three-course meals, the chance to bid for fantastic money-can’t-buy prizes and of course, fundraising for disadvantaged children, KidsOut events really are the highlight of the corporate calendar.
